Reproductive Justice Maryland, led by Executive Director Jakeya Johnson*, believes that it's more important than ever to build, strengthen and support new voices and new leaders in the fight for unrestricted access to comprehensive reproductive health care. RJM is forging a new movement that will not only build upon the legacy of past efforts but will be poised to engage in the work that lies before us. 

We welcome Jakeya to our chapter meeting to speak to us of how she came to lead RJM, legislation being supported, and how we can partner and support the important work of reproductive justice. All are invited and welcomed.

*JAKEYA JOHNSON is a reproductive justice advocate, policy strategist, and nonprofit leader whose work has helped expand access to reproductive healthcare across Maryland. She currently serves as Executive Director of Reproductive Justice Maryland, where she has led legislative advocacy, grassroots organizing, and direct service efforts to ensure people have the resources and autonomy to make decisions about their bodies and lives. Jakeya is now also a candidate for Congress in Maryland’s 4th District (https://jakeyajohnson.com/), running to put power back in the hands of working people and ensure reproductive freedom isn’t a privilege, but a guarantee people can actually afford and access.
