You are invited to meet author and journalist Amanda Becker for a discussion of her first book "You Must Stand Up: The Fight for Abortion Rights in Post-Dobbs America."
Amanda Becker is a veteran, Washington, D.C.-based journalist who has covered the U.S. Congress, White House, Supreme Court and elections for nearly two decades. She is currently with The 19th, a first of its kind nonprofit, independent newsroom covering gender, politics and policy. Her work has also appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, USA Today, Glamour magazine and Teen Vogue. Her political coverage has also been broadcast on National Public Radio and she is a frequent guest on radio programs like 1A. Her first book is “You Must Stand Up, The Fight for Abortion Rights in Post-Dobbs America.”
We will be sure to have time for Q&A, with a focus on what we can do to insure abortion rights in America. A short chapter business meeting will follow so that we can share recent events and actions.
