In celebration of the National Girls and Women in Sports Day, Montgomery County Recreation is pleased to host the second annual HERtime2shine event at the Silver Spring Civic Building. The event was founded last year as a way to empower girls to get involved in sports and live healthy, active lifestyles by bringing the county’s sports and fitness organizations together to showcase new opportunities. 

This year’s event will feature a carnival-style family fun day. 

Sports and fitness vendors will host interactive and fun activities. All ages are welcome. Participants are encouraged to be active by completing vendor activities such as Zumba sessions, shooting hoops and more to earn tickets and win cool prizes or be entered into a raffle. This event is free to attend.
